“After a year of revitalization behind the scenes, Heavy Metal is back – heavier than ever – with a fresh team and a renewed commitment to pushing the boundaries of art and storytelling. This new issue 1 brings us back to the glory days with a stunning anthology that will shock, excite, and amaze on every page,” per the description.

It will be offered with exclusive covers and limited run variants. Cover artists include Hildebrandt, Frazetta, Skinner, Strati, Quintana, Viveros, and Nychos.

The campaign has already reached its goal of $5,000 – in fact, it was nearly at $170,000 at press time. The Kickstarter campaign runs until December 29, 2024.
