Music producer Richard Perry passed away December 24, 2024 at the age of at the age of 82. Perry, with 15 gold records, four of which went platinum, died following a heart attack, though in recent years he had been battling Parkinson’s Disease according to multiple sources.

In a career that spanned decades, he produced numerous albums by a wide variety of artists, including The Pointer Sisters, Rod Stewart, Harry Nilsson, Barbra Streisand, Carly Simon, Art Garfunkel, Diana Ross, Martha Reeves, Manhattan Transfer, Leo Sayer, and Andy Williams.

Among his notable projects was Ringo Starr’s 1973 album Ringo, which featured John Lennon, George Harrison, and Paul McCartney on different tracks, making it as close to a Beatles reunion as would happen when all four members were alive. The album topped out at number two on the pop chart.
