As we celebrate the 55th anniversary of The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide and the 50th anniversary of Joe Kubert’s iconic Tarzan cover for CBPG #5 (with official Edgar Rice Burroughs artist Joe Jusko’s reinterpretation of Kubert’s classic), the Guide is now accepting ads from retailers, show dealers, collectors, publishers, convention promoters, service providers, and other interested parties.

“Joe Kubert’s cover is one of the most frequently cited favorite covers in the Guide’s long history,” said J.C. Vaughn, President of Gemstone Publishing. “Joe Jusko was deep into his game-changing run of providing new covers for all of Burroughs’ Tarzan novels when he took on this assignment. Kubert’s cover was the first Guide Joe saw, and there was no question that he could do justice to the legend while bringing his own power to the piece.”

In addition to the latest prices, CBPG #55 will have all new feature articles, new market reports, and additions to The Overstreet Hall of Fame. 

As with previous years, all full-page advertisers receive a complimentary Directory Listing and a copy of the Guide as well. The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #55 is scheduled to go on sale Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
