Juan Giménez’s medieval fantasy I, Dragon is on Kickstarter from Alien Books with an exclusive box set and variant covers. This is the first time the graphic novel trilogy is published in English, featuring three magazine sized softcovers with an exclusive variant cover by Salvador Sanz.

Written and illustrated by Giménez, I, Dragon is set in 1280 when Rosentall Castle is surrounded by an army. As a long, bloody war starts, a strange woman from a traveling carnival gives birth in the castle, and a dragon wakens in a nearby volcano.

“Our goal in 2025 is to continue to bring diverse and uniquely fascinating projects to our readership and we see crowdfunding as an essential part of that plan,” Alien Books Director Matias Timarchi said. “Juan Giménez is a legend around the world and we’re thrilled to be able to offer his I, Dragon trilogy through Kickstarter in this beautiful box set.”

The Kickstarter campaign goes live on January 21, 2025.
