The Jurassic Park franchise is entering a new period of discovery and adventure in Jurassic World Rebirth. Universal Pictures released the first trailer for the movie, which proves yet again that people still haven’t learned not to mess with dinosaurs.

The trailer introduces Dr. Henry Loomis (Jonathan Bailey), a medical professional researching ways that dinosaur DNA could produce a medical breakthrough, and Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson), the covert operations expert who is going to keep him safe while he tries to acquire said DNA from live specimens.

All the dinosaurs they want to see are located in one place – the original Jurassic Park research facility. Along the way, they’ll add another specialist (Mahershala Ali) to the team who will lead them to the island. While trying to get DNA from the three biggest dinosaurs on the island, the team will face an onslaught of threats from the ground, the air, and the sea.

Set five years after Jurassic World Dominion, the new entry in the Jurassic Park franchise is directed by Gareth Edwards (Rogue One). It is written by David Koepp, who worked on the original Jurassic Park and its sequel, The Lost World. The movie will be produced by Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley, who oversaw the Jurassic World trilogy.

Jurassic World Rebirth also stars Rupert Friend, Ed Skrein, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Luna Blaise, Philippine Velge, David Iacono, Audrina Miranda, and Bechir Sylvain.

The movie will debut in theaters in July 2025.
