Amy Aquino (Bosch) and Andrew Robinson (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) have been cast in the upcoming Spider-Noir series. Both actors will appear in recurring roles on the MGM+ and Prime Video series, though their character details were not announced.
They join Nicholas Cage, who will star as Spider-Man Noir in the live-action series. The Spider-Man Noir comic was created by David Hine, Fabrice Sapolsky, and Carmine Di Giandomenico, as part of the Marvel Noir miniseries. Set during the Great Depression era, Spider-Man dons a costume based on his uncle’s World War I airman uniform, and takes on New York’s criminal underworld led by Norman Osborn.
Aquino, who played Lt. Grace Billets on Bosch, starred as Bucky and Sam’s therapist in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and recently, she was the judge in Juror #2. Her credits include Moonstruck, Picket Fences, Felicity, ER, and Being Human.
Robinson starred as Cardassian tailor, Garak, in Deep Space Nine, he played the Scorpio Killer in Dirty Harry, and good brother Larry/bad brother Frank in Hellraiser. He starred in Ryan’s Hope, Cobra, and Child’s Play 3, among many TV guest appearances.
Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot will act as co-showrunners on Spider-Noir, who developed the series with the Into the Spider-Verse team of Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal. All five will be executive producers, along with Harry Bradbeer, who will direct the first two episodes.
The main cast includes Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, and Jack Huston. Some of the guest stars are Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, and Andrew Caldwell.
