For more than 22 years, the Scoop e-newsletter and website have provided news on the comics industry, collecting across various pop culture categories, auction results, in-depth features on characters and creators, and so much more. Very soon, that content will get an updated new look and a new home on OverstreetAccess.com.
What you read on Scoop – the industry news, auction coverage, convention lists, popular columns, Did You Knows, etc. – will remain the same. Scoop’s appearance is going through a major (let’s face it, much needed) makeover for a modern look and functionality. Instead of a continuous list of article titles and abstracts, you’ll see a block style set up that includes images from each article. Popular topics and columns will be easily searchable, publishing dates will accompany each article, and you can share your favorite articles across your social media platforms with ease.
All of the new articles and our archival content will continue to be free for subscribers to our e-newsletter and those who go directly to the website.
While the content will remain the same, there will be some changes to the structure of Scoop. Each week we will present a group of “Top Stories” that will hail from multiple sections, such as news, auction results, and feature content. It will be followed by the “News” and then “Auctions & Prices.”
Next, you’ll see “The Spotlight” which combines the columns and articles that you currently find in “Super Stars,” “Main Event,” “In the Limelight,” and “Did You Know” into one category.
After that, our “Catch The Wave” section is being rebranded as “Upcoming Events” and it will be followed by “Off the Presses.” Articles from the “Mondo Media” section will now appear in the “News” or “The Spotlight.” Each section will also include a “View More” button where you can read more of the most recent articles in that category.
OverstreetAccess.com is the digital version of The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide. Encompassing the breadth of comic book history, it includes hundreds of thousands of issues, their important details (like character appearances and creators), and values. There’s a wealth of free content on the site, which will now include Scoop articles. This is coupled with subscription-based collection management where collectors can upload their collections, organize them, and determine their value through our meticulously researched pricing. We offer three membership levels on OverstreetAccess.com based on the amount of access you need.
