The Doctor is meeting another mysterious woman, and the TARDIS is on the fritz again, making for one exciting adventure. Doctor Who dropped the second official trailer for Ncuti Gatwa’s second season as the Doctor.
The trailer starts with the Doctor explaining who he is and where he’s from while meeting new companion Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu) who was taken away from Earth. As they make their journey back to Earth, the pair will travel from 1952 to the 51st century. Along the way, they will watch the Interstellar Song Contest, get lost in time, and get turned into animated characters. The Doctor warns that reality is in danger, we see robots, monsters, giant spiders, and more, as the tagline reveals that “Getting back home will be a blast from the past.”
In addition to dropping the new trailer, Doctor Who revealed the titles for all eight episodes of the upcoming season. They are “The Robot Revolution,” “Lux,” “The Well,” “Lucky Day,” “The Story & the Engine,” “The Interstellar Song Contest,” “Wish World,” and “The Reality War.”
This season will feature the returns of Millie Gibson as companion Ruby Sunday, Jemma Redgrave as Kate Lethbridge-Stewart, and Anita Dobson as Mrs. Flood. Guest stars will include Alan Cumming (voicing animated character Mr. Ring-a-Ding), Rose Ayling-Ellis, Christopher Chung, Michelle Greenidge, Jonah Hauer-King, Ruth Madeley, and Susan Twist.
Doctor Who will debut on BBC and Disney+ on Saturday, April 12, 2025.
