Star Trek: Strange New Worlds goes vintage, futuristic, and a little bit of both for the season three teaser trailer. Paramount+ released a minute long teaser that jumps through different looks from the 1960s to far in the future.
The teaser promises 10 new adventures, romance, mystery, and “a touch of analog.” It begins with James Kirk (Paul Wesley) and others sporting a very retro look. Then Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) kicks things into action and we see Spock (Ethan Peck) and Christina Chong (La’an Noonien-Singh) in what appears to be a holodeck.
There’s a romantic interlude between Spock and Christine Chapel (Jess Bush), Patton Oswalt as a Vulcan, and a murder mystery party with the crew. We see Pelia (Carol Kane) rewiring things on the ship, quick shots of the action to come, and Scotty gets a toast from Kirk when he joins the Enterprise.
The teaser also briefly shows Rebecca Romijn as Una Chin-Riley, Celia Rose Gooding as Uhura, Melissa Navia as Erica Ortegas, and Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M’Benga.
The Star Trek: Strange New Worlds teaser didn’t provide an exact release date, but did announce that the new season premieres in the summer of 2025.
