Our friend, Overstreet Advisor and longtime CBG figure, John Jackson Miller has made quite the name for himself in Star Wars circles. In addition to writing a great run on Dark Horse’s Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic comic book series, he authored the novel and comic book series Star Wars: Knight Errant, the serialized novella Star Wars: Lost Tribe of the Sith, and the first novel released under the new, official continuity, Star Wars: A New Dawn.

Along the way he also wrote one of our favorite novels set in that universe, Star Wars: Kenobi, and that was the one that vaulted him into the “New York Times Best Selling Author” club.

Not too long ago, Miller, who studied Russian in college, noted on his Facebook page that Kenobi had been published in Russia.

This week he posted a photo of translator Alexander Vinogradov with a copy of Kenobi that he had autographed both in English and Russian.

“Pleased to see that it arrived in Moscow – and that apparently I remember how to sign my name in Cyrillic!” he posted.

If you missed Miller’s Vader-Palpatine short story "Orientation" when it ran in Star Wars Insider Magazine, it's now included the just-released Star Wars: Lords of the Sith paperback by novelist Paul S. Kemp.
