“It never fails. After the catalog went to press, we heard from a good number of sellers hoping to still participate in Event Auction #41,” said Vincent Zurzolo, ComicConnect’s COO. “We do everything possible to accommodate every client and I was delighted that our consignors submitted a slew of high-quality books and original art after the catalog deadline passed.”

Few comics soar higher than the first issue of Superman. A late addition to the auction, Superman #1 CBCS 9.0 with professional restoration is now taking bids. “This is one of the most important comics of the Golden Age,” Zurzolo said. “And this copy is sure to become a cornerstone of one of the great investment collections we’ve helped build; I’m thrilled to add it to the auction.”

More late additions include Playboy #1 CGC 9.0 Red Star copy, All American Comics #19 CGC 5.5, Captain America Comics #3 CGC 3.0 Signature Series, Flash Annual #1 CGC 9.6, and Justice League of America #2 CGC 9.6.

“Art investors shouldn’t miss the last second addition Alex Ross cover for Amazing Spider-Man #799 featuring the Red Goblin,” Zurzolo said.
