In Event Auction #48, ComicConnect is offering a large assortment of some of the rarest and most desirable Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles items.

“As we’ve seen over the past year, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collectibles are some of the most highly sought-after treasures in the market,” ComicConnect COO and co-founder Vincent Zurzolo said. “The comics are red hot and are among the most desirable in the hobby, but collectors are also grabbing up nearly everything Turtles they can find, the more unusual the better. From toys to artwork to rare statues, anything TMNT is a must-have.”

Headlining the auction is a copy of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 CGC 9.8, first printing of the Turtles’ first appearance. Recent sales for a high grade copy hover in the $250,000 range. A CGC 9.4 first printing copy is also offered. Accompanying these are high grade copies of many of the earliest issues, including variants, plus dozens of Turtle comics from a wide range of titles, many of which are Signature Series and sketch covers.

“Just as exciting as the highest graded first issue is the inclusion of three of the rarest TMNT books in the world,” Zurzolo said. “Gobbledygook #1 and #2 were handmade and self-printed by Eastman and Laird before the first issue debuted.”

In addition, they are offering rare Turtles statues, original art, toys, figurines, and scores of comics. Questions about the auction can be sent to support@comicconnect.com or call (212) 260-4147. Those interested in consigning to Event Auction #49 can email robr@comicconnect.com.
