A selection of desirable video games is among the featured lots in ComicConnect’s Event Auction #48. The sale, which includes titles like Donkey Kong Classic and Double Dragon, runs through December 18, 2021, at 8 PM ET.

Super Mario and Nintendo are always top priorities in the video game collecting market and have become even hotter following recent record Mario sales. This auction includes Donkey Kong Classic (NES) WATA 9.8, which reissues the first appearances of Mario (when he was still known as Jumpman) and Donkey Kong in Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. This copy is the highest graded example.

More Nintendo game highlights are Donkey Kong 64 WATA 9.4, Starfox (SNES) WATA 9.2, Superman (GB) WATA 9.6, Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64) WATA 8.5, and Mario Party 2 (N64) WATA 9.4.

For collectors of the obscure, a trio of Double Dragon games are up for grabs and every one is a rare big box PC game, which are very difficult to find in high grades. Ninja Gaiden Shadow VGA 90 is an important Gameboy title, as is Blues Brothers WATA 9.4, for its rarity. The game was developed by Titus France, famous for low print runs and this high grade example is one of the best known copies.
