Heritage is offering the first appearance of Galactus, Spider-Man art by John Byrne and Jim Mooney, and a sealed copy of the first Halo game in their weekly auctions. The Comic Books Select Auction closes Sunday and Monday, October 2-3, 2022, the Video Games Mini-Boss Auction ends on Tuesday, October 4, and the Comic Art & Animation Select Auction closes on Wednesday, October 5.

The comic auction is led by the Punisher’s first appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man #129 CGC 8.5. This Bronze Age key features a story by Gerry Conway, interior art by Ross Andru, and a cover by John Romita Sr. and Gil Kane.

Another Marvel key in the auction is Fantastic Four #49 CGC 7.0 with the first full appearance of Galactus and second appearance of the Silver Surfer. Jack Kirby and Joe Sinnott provided the cover and art for the issue.

The original art auction features John Byrne and Jim Mooney’s The Amazing Spider-Man #190 story page 6 original art. For the art of Spidey fighting Man-Wolf, Byrne provided the layouts for Mooney’s finishes in ink and dot halftone over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board.

On George Tuska and Don Perlin’s Iron Man #95 story page 13 original art, Iron Man blasts Ultimo into the Washington Monument. The page is done in ink over graphite on Bristol board.

In the video game auction, Heritage is selling Halo: Combat Evolved WATA 9.8 A+ sealed (Microsoft security label, Italian version) for Xbox. This is the first game in the Halo series and was an Xbox launch title that turned Master Chief into the “Mario of Xbox.”

Another video game from a popular franchise in the auction is Resident Evil 4 WATA 9.6 A+ sealed (GameStop Special Edition Steelbook) for GameCube. The steel book case is known for getting easily damaged, making this high grade copy a rare find.
