Quantcast

MyComicShop’s April Prime Auction contains nearly 3,000 items so far with more being added on a daily basis. The auction opens for bids on April 3, 2023, featuring over 500 pre-1960 comics and vintage paper items.

The pulp offerings are led by a copy of Marvel Science Stories Vol. 3 #1 with a bright and crisp cover by Norman Saunders. Another great cover appears on Big All American Comics Book CBCS 4.0 with a big group shot of both iconic and obscure characters. It also has notable firsts, including Joe Kubert’s first work on Hawkman, a character he would go on to define, as well as the first work of indispensable editor Julius Schwartz.

The market for foreign editions has been exploding lately and they have a copy of Ciclon El Superhombre #4 CGC 7.5 which reprints Superman daily strips. This is highest graded copy according to the CGC census and the lone copy at the grade. The issue was published in Spain in 1940, just two short years after the Man of Steel’s debut.

The pre-1960 group features some gruesome pre-code horror, like Beware #10 CGC 5.0, featuring a killer cover by Frank Frazetta.

All of the listings in the April Prime Auction can now be viewed on MyComicShop’s website.
