Early Batman issue, Wally Wood Daredevil sketches, and a high grade copy of Legend of Zelda are among the top lots in Heritage’s weekly auctions. The Comic Books Select Auction closes on Sunday through Tuesday, September 24-26, 2023, the Video Games Mini-Boss Auction ends on Tuesday, September 26, and the Comic Art & Animation Auction concludes on Wednesday, September 27.

In the comic auction, Heritage is offering Batman #58 GD/VG, featuring Batman and Robin taking on the Penguin in three bird-themed stories. Then Spider-Man makes his debut, as well as Aunt May and Uncle Ben, in Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 3.5.

The original art auction is led by Samuel Clarke Hawbaker’s The X-Men Creators’ Choice #2 wraparound cover showcasing Jubilee taking on Mr. Sinister, who already captured other X-Men. The Wally Wood Daredevil sketch original art displays an assortment of sketches of the Man Without Fear.

The high grade Legend of Zelda WATA 9.8 unopened Spanish version for NES, which was released the same year as the US version, leads the video games auction. The Scooby-Doo Mystery WATA 7.5 A++ sealed (made in Japan) for SNES, is the only copy of this variant in Wata’s June 2023 population report.
