ComicConnect has added more Golden and Silver Age keys and original art highlights to their upcoming Event Auction 58. Their April 2024 Mega Monthly Auction, with over 2,000 lots, featuring over 1,200 certified books from across comic ages, is now open for bids.

Golden Age titles now in Event Auction 58 are All Star Comics #3 5.5 with the first gathering of the Justice Society of America, and Archie Andrews’ first Christmas story in Jackpot Comics #7 8.5. That’s in addition to the rare Wonder Comics #2 9.2 with Lou Fine’s penciling debut, and Detective Comics #38 5.0 showcases Robin the Boy Wonder’s debut, Adventure Comics #45 9.6, and More Fun Comics #31 9.6 features Superman’s first published appearance in an Action Comics ad.

Newly added Silver Age keys are Showcase #4 6.5 with Barry Allen’s introduction as the Flash and X-Men #1 6.5 with the debut of the mutant superhero team. They join other Silver Age keys Amazing Fantasy #15 3.5 and Fantastic Four #1 3.0.

Bronze Age books showcased in the auction are Giant-Size X-Men #1 9.9, X-Men #94 9.8, and Amazing Spider-Man #129 CGC 9.6 Signature Series Stan Lee with the Punisher’s debut.

The latest in Event Auction 58’s original art listings are Adam Kubert’s Wolverine #88 depiction of Wolverine’s wild first meeting with Deadpool, John Byrne’s first Wolverine illustration (with inks by Dan Green) in an explosive half-splash for Iron Fist #15, and Wallace Wood’s Creepy #38 classic tale “The Cosmic All” with an alien vista. Other acquisitions include an action-packed page from Werewolf By Night #5 (as the only issue where Mike Ploog inked his own pencils), plus John Romita Sr.’s signed cover for Nightshade’s memorable debut in Captain America #164, and Frank Miller and Al Milgrom’s brutal cover for Morpheus’ first appearance in Moon Knight #12.

The final deadline for Event Auction 58 consignments is May 20. ComicConnect President Vincent Zurzolo and staffers will be at booth #1427 of the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo on April 26-28.
