Iron Man’s first appearance, a Neal Adams Wonder Woman drawing, and the Japanese Pax Power Glove are among the highlights in Heritage’s weekly auctions. The Comic Books Select Auction ends on Sunday through Tuesday, September 8-10, 2024, the Video Games Mini-Boss Auction concludes on Tuesday, September 10, and the Comic Art & Animation Auction closes on Wednesday, September 11.

The comics auction contains the major Marvel key Tales of Suspense #39 CGC 3.5 with the first appearance of Tony Stark/Iron Man, and featuring the art of Jack Kirby, Don Heck, Steve Ditko, and Gene Colan. The Amazing Spider-Man #347 CBCS 9.6 has the popular cover by Erik Larsen of Venom holding a skull wearing a Spider-Man mask in an homage to William Shakespeare’s Hamlet.

The original art auction is led by Neal Adams’ Wonder Woman illustration that showcases a beautiful profile shot of the iconic superheroine. Mark Bagley’s Ultimate Spider-Man #40 original cover features the alternate universe version of Peter Parker standing above the New York City skyline.

For the first time, Heritage is offering the Japanese version of the Pax Power Glove (ungraded, sealed) in the video game auction. The auction also contains a group lot of 11 Super Famicom Games (complete in box) including Golden Fighter, Mario Tennis 64, Space Invaders, NBA Jam, Street fighter II, and more.
