ComicConnect is wrapping up Event Auction 59 on October 2-4, 2024, featuring rarities and key collectibles from the Ruben Blades Collection.

Material from the Blades Collection includes a run of Detective Comics, with Batman’s debut in issue 27, and Wonder Woman’s cover debut on Sensation Comics #1 as a part of Blades’ selection from the title. Highlights are Flash Comics #1, Plastic Man’s start in Police Comics #1, and pulp heroes like The Shadow #1. Early Marvel universe titles include Marvel Mystery Comics #2, plus others from the title, leading to the Human Torch ending WWII on Alex Schomburg’s last war cover for Marvel Mystery Comics #64.

Rarities include Green Giant Comics #1, Red Dragon #7, Wonderworld Comics #31, and Weird Comics #20 with a wild war cover and an appearance by Winston Churchill.
