ComicConnect is giving the first look at the upcoming Fall Mega Monthly Auction featuring classic comics and keys, plus signed books and collectibles from artist Mike Ploog. The auction opens on Monday, October 28, 2024.

Ploog remains beloved as a master of Marvel Bronze Age Monsters, with the innovative illustrator defining the look of a new breed of dark heroes. The Fall Mega-Monthly Auction is offering a selection of CGC Signature Series books and rare foreign titles showcasing Ploog’s art and more.

First appearances in the auction include Deadpool’s debut in New Mutants #98, the first Jason Todd Batman #357 CGC Signature Series Gerry Conway, and Punisher’s introduction in Amazing Spider-Man #129. The auction features Swamp Thing #7 with Batman and Swamp Thing’s first meeting and 1990’s Spider-Man #1 Gold Edition 9.8.

There are Silver Age keys like Iron Man’s first appearance in Tales of Suspense #39 and Black Panther’s debut in Fantastic Four #52. Highlights also include a rare Blazing Combat #1 that has a roster of great artists, starting with a Frank Frazetta war cover, Golden Age Marvel family issues like Captain Marvel Adventures #3 and Master Comics #23.
