Frank Frazetta’s first comic art, a Star Wars splash from the original Marvel run, and a sealed copy of Blades of Steel are featured lots in Heritage’s weekly auctions. The Comic Books Select Auction closes on Sunday through Tuesday, October 20-22, 2024, the Video Games Mini-Boss Auction ends on Tuesday, October 22, and the Comic Art & Animation Auction wraps on Wednesday, October 23.

In the comic auction, Heritage is offering Tally-Ho Comics #nn CGC 6.0 with Frank Frazetta’s first published comic art, as the assistant to John Giunta. Tales from the Crypt #38 CGC 9.0 features a Jack Davis cover of a man swinging an axe toward an open coffin.

The original art auction contains John Buscema and Bill Sienkiewicz’ Wolverine #12 story page 15 showing Wolverine as “Patch” during a car chase. Ron Frenz and Tom Palmer’s Star Wars #80 splash page 1 sees Luke Skywalker hiding around the corner from Imperial Stormtroopers.

The video game auction features Blades of Steel CGC 8.0 (sealed) NES game that is considered one of the most popular hockey games of the 8-bit era. Castlevania: Dracula X WATA 9.0 CIB is a highly coveted and rarely found Super Nintendo game because it had a limited print run.
