Scrooge McDuck’s cover debut, a Birds of Prey splash page, and a group of PlayStation 2 basketball games are showcased in Heritage’s weekly auctions. The Comics & Comic Art Signature Auction closes on Sunday through Tuesday, January 5-7, 2025, the Video Games Mini-Boss Auction ends on Tuesday, January 7, and the Comic Art & Illustration Auction wraps up on Wednesday, January 8.

The comic auction is topped by Four Color #386 CGC 4.0, featuring Scrooge McDuck’s first cover appearance, which was created by Carl Barks. Superman’s Girlfriend Lois Lane #70 CGC 7.5 has a great cover by Kurt Schaffenberger, showing Lois fighting Catwoman.

Heritage is offering a Jerry Scott and Jim Borgman Zits daily comic strip from 2012 with Jeremy acing his schoolwork but failing at relationships. On Joe Bennett and Ruy José’s Birds of Prey #68 splash page 2, Black Canary, Oracle, and Huntress enjoy a rare moment of relaxation.

The video game auction is led by a group lot of CGC-graded basketball games for PlayStation 2, including College Hoops 2K7, NBA ’09: The Inside, and NCAA March Madness ’07. The high grade Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild WATA 9.8 sealed is the second production copy that corrected compatibility notes for different controllers.
