ComicConnect is beginning 2025 with Event Auction 61, and a first look at the Winter Mega Monthly Auction that starts on Monday, January 27.
There’s a selection of vintage comics, including even more classic books from the Mike Ploog Collection. The innovative illustrator who defined the look of dark heroes such as Ghost Rider, Werewolf by Night, and Man-Thing is back with more CGC Signature Series books, featuring Bronze Age classics and rare foreign titles.
The Winter Mega Monthly also offers Golden Age greats like a rare Web of Mystery #7 and the scarce L.B. Cole cover for Captain Aero Comics #24. Sheena, Jungle Queen swings through in a wild selection of Jumbo Comics sporting art by Matt Baker. Stan Lee and Steve Ditko get closer to the Marvel Age as “Worm Man” foreshadows Ant-Man in Strange Tales #78, as Tales of Suspense #47 has the true-to-life tale of the Melter’s first battle with Iron Man.
There’s more of the Marvel Age as the Black Panther makes his first appearance in Fantastic Four #52. Bronze Age beauties feature Sabretooth’s start in Iron Fist #14 and Beta Ray Bill busting out in a Thor #337 9.6 newsstand, alongside the Zodiac crime cartel brawling in Avengers #120. Modern masterpieces include Lady Deadpool’s debut in Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth #7, the return of Venom in a high grade Amazing Spider-Man #316, and The Crow #1 9.0. Plus, there’s more titles to come in the Winter Mega Monthly Auction.
