The first appearance of Sam Wilson, a John Buscema double-page splash, and two rare sealed video games are leading Heritage’s weekly auctions. The Comic Books Select Auction closes on Sunday through Tuesday, February 23-25, 2025, the Video Games Mini-Boss Auction ends on Tuesday, February 25, and the Comic Art & Illustration Auction wraps up on February 26.

Heritage is offering Captain America #117 GD/VG with the first appearance of Sam Wilson/Falcon who later became Captain America, featuring a cover by Gene Colan, Joe Sinnott, and John Romita Sr. They also have Ms. Marvel #1-23, with Carol Danvers’ first full run, and introductions of villains like Mystique and Deathbird.

The original art auction showcases John Buscema’s Haunt of Horror Digest #2 splash pages 4-5 depicting two cultists summoning evil spirits to sacrifice a woman while terrified children watch in horror. Steve Scott and Scott Koblish’s Wolverine #138 story page 17 features the first meeting between Wolverine and Galactus.

The video game auction contains Ghost Manor/Spike’s Peak WATA 7.5 sealed for Atari 2600 offering two games: the haunted castle horror game and the treacherous mountain climbing adventure. MTV Sports: Skateboarding Featuring Andy MacDonald CGC 9.8 sealed for PlayStation was part of the network’s push into extreme sports gaming.
