A previously unknown ashcan for Masterpieces Illustrated by Lloyd Jacquet from 1946 sold for $2,025 in fine/very fine condition. The ashcan was Jacquet's attempt to get into the market that was controlled by Classics Comic/Classics Illustrated . Lloyd Jacquet is one of the early pioneers during the Golden Age of comic books and is known for introducing the world to the Submariner in Motion Picture Funnies Weekly among his many contributions to the medium.
