Awesome Con, the large comics and pop culture event in DC, is coming up soon on August 20-22, 2021. Once again, the con is returning to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Mt Vernon Place NW, Washington, DC.

Events include a second breakfast with Billy Boyd, tabletop gaming, short film fest, science fair, book fair, pride alley, and Awesome Con Jr.

Comic guests include Amy Chu (Wonder Woman), Amy Reeder (Amethyst), Chrissie Zullo (Batman: The Adventures Continue), Chuck Brown (Bitter Root), Clay Mann (Heroes in Crisis), Dan Parent (Archie), Jeremy Clark (The Last Ronin), Michael Golden (Micronauts), Mitch Gerads (Strange Adventures), Renee Witterstaetter (The Sensational She-Hulk), Ron Marz (Green Lantern), Sam Maggs (Captain Marvel), Tom Cook (Masters of the Universe), Tom King (Batman), and Tracie Ching (Attack the Block).

The celebrity guests include William Shatner and George Takei (Star Trek), Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), Christina Ricci (The Addams Family), Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito (The Mandalorian), Sean Astin and Billy Boyd (Lord of the Rings), and Austin St. John, Walter Jones, Karan Ashley, and Johnny Yong Bosch (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers).

The convention will be open on Friday 12 PM to 8 PM, Saturday 10 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM.

The three-day weekend pass is $90, Friday is $45, Saturday is $65, Sunday is $50, and the kids’ weekend pass is $20. There are also VIP packages for the con.
