Awesome Con, the large comics and pop culture event in DC, is coming up soon on June 16-18, 2023. Once again, the con is returning to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Mt Vernon Place NW, Washington, DC.

Celebrity guests are Amy Jo Johnson (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, and Andy Serkis (Lord of the Rings), Ashley Eckstein, Billy Dee Williams, James Arnold Taylor, and Matt Lanter (Star Wars franchise), Jodie Whittaker, Billie Piper, Christopher Eccleston, and Mandip Gill (Doctor Who), Christopher Sabat (Dragon Ball Z), Karen Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy), LeVar Burton (Star Trek: The Next Generation), and Rob Paulsen (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), plus several others.

Comic creators attending are Amanda Deibert (Star Wars), Arthur Adams (Uncanny X-Men), Bryan Tillman (Ninja Empire), Cat Staggs (Wonder Woman), Chrissie Zullo Uminga (Batman the Adventures Continue), Clay McCormack (Batman White Knight Presents Generation Joker), Corin Howell (Women of Marvel), Dan Parent (Archie), David Finch (Batman), Greg Burnham (The Search for Sadiqah), Humberto Ramos (Amazing Spider-Man), Joyce Chin (Black Panther), Keith Williams (The Phantom), Richard and Wendy Pini (ElfQuest), Simon Bisley (Lobo), Sorah Suhng (Red Sonja), Tom Fleming (Elektra), and several others.

Panels, Q&As, and other events will be held all weekend, including Awesome Con Jr., the science fair, pride alley, the book fair, video gaming, tabletop gaming, and the short film festival.

The convention will be open on Friday from 1 PM to 8 PM, Saturday at 10 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday at 10 AM to 5 PM.

The three-day weekend pass is $95, Friday is $45, Saturday is $58, Sunday is $50, and the kids’ weekend pass is $15. There are also VIP packages for the con.
