What do you get when you mix summer camp, strange creatures, supernatural phenomena, and a group of butt kicking girls? Well, for one thing, an unforgettable adventure.

Lumberjanes was originally created by Shannon Watters, Grace Ellis, Brooke A. Allen, and Noelle Stevenson as an eight-part series for BOOM! Studios’ imprint BOOM! Box. However, the series quickly garnered a large following and was drafted into an ongoing series. The girl-centric series follows the Roanoke cabin at Miss Quinzella Thiskwin Penniquiqul Thistle Crumpet's Camp for Hardcore Lady Types. After the Lumberjane scouts witness a mysterious woman transform into a bear, they follow her deep into the woods. While there they encounter hostile packs of three-eyed supernatural creatures, and from that moment on task themselves with solving mysteries around the camp. As well as, collecting their Lumberjane scout badges, of course.

The five scouts of the Roanoke cabin include: Jo, the analytical and cool-headed leader; April, the fact-finder and lover of puns; Molly, the shy archer with a magic bow; Mal, the cautious and sensitive punk; and Ripley, the energetic catalyst for trouble. Jen serves as the knowledgeable Roanoke cabin’s scout-leader, while Rosie is the easygoing scoutmaster. Rosie seems to know more than she lets on about the mysterious problems surrounding the camp, and even encourages the girls to search for additional clues.
