In the new graphic novel Muhammad Ali, Kinshasa 1974, Titan Comics will present rarely viewed behind the scenes photos and firsthand accounts of the historic boxing match from those close to the action. The graphic novel was created by writer Jean-David Morvan (Wolverine) and photo journalist Abbas.

The most famous boxing match in history occurred on October 30, 1974 in Kinshasa, Zaire (now Democratic Republic of the Congo). Nicknamed the “Rumble in the Jungle,” it saw Muhammad Ali facing George Foreman for the world championship.

The unique graphic novel features Abbas’ personal archive of photos that reveals and reimagines the powerful photographs. Abbas’ story of the match is coupled with Morvan’s script and art by Rafael Ortiz.

Muhammad Ali, Kinshasa 1974 will be in comic shops and book stores in February 2021.
