The exciting competition and beauty of wildlife photography are the subject of a new game from Renegade Game Studios. Birdwatcher is a fast and competitive game with rival wildlife photographers seeking to take the best photos of the elusive birds-of-paradise.

“Players lure birds to their tree from the jungle, take photos of the birds in their tree, and publish their findings. The photographer with the most citation points at the end of the game is awarded Nature Photographer of the Year and is the winner,” Renegade Game Studios’ description reads.

The game features bird cards illustrated by biologist and scientific illustrator Lauren Helton. The game comes with 113 cards, 5 player mats, 31 insect punchboard tokens, and 1 scorepad.

Players build their own deck of bird photographs and publications for one to five players ages 13 and up. The game should take 25 to 60 minutes.

Birdwatcher is open for preorders for $40.
