Pinup model, actress, and woman of action Bettie Page is back in comics with sought after writer-artist Mirka Andolfo (Sweet Paprika) writing the book. Andolfo will use her signature style on an adventure that takes Bettie to Italy. The series, which will begin in June 2023, will feature the art of Elisa Ferrari and is co-written by Luca Blengino.

“Our goal is to tell an intense story with an intense character and an intense but realistic setting,” Andolfo said.

It starts when Bettie gets cast as the lead in a movie that’s shooting in Rome, but before she can truly enjoy Italy, a couple of thugs try to kidnap her. Turns out it’s a case of mistaken identity because she looks just like their real target. Bettie must try to convince them to let her go and learn more about her doppelgänger in the process.

Andolfo and Ferrari are providing covers, along with pinup artists Joseph Michael Linsner, Junggeun Yoon, Rebeca Puebla, and Lesley “Leirix” Li.

Bettie Page #1 is solicited in Diamond Comic Distributor’s April 2023 issue of PREVIEWS. It will be in comic shops in June 2023.
