The Mobile Suit Gundam movie trilogy 4K UHD Collector’s Edition is now available for the first time outside of Japan. It is open for early bird preorder now.

“Universal Century 0079. Amuro Ray finds himself caught up in the war between the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon. He unwillingly becomes the pilot of a prototype Mobile Suit called the Gundam. Now he and the crew of the White Base will have to fight for their very lives as the enemy attempts to destroy this new weapon at all costs,” the synopsis reads.

“Combatants will face triumph and turmoil as they battle their way through space to get to their final destination on Earth. The outcome of the war lies in the hands of the Newtype in the anime series that started it all,” the synopsis continues.

The three-disc set includes Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam II: Soldiers of Sorrow, and Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters in Space. The movies are presented in 4K HDR with Japanese Dolby Atmos 5.1 or dual mono audio options and English subtitles.

Each film is in a 4K Amaray case with the poster art for the movie and all three are housed in a slipcase. The set comes with Beyond the Universal Century, a 68-page booklet that presents a comprehensive guide on the original Mobile Suit Gundam. It features character art and details, storyboards, and interviews and articles translated to English for the first time including content from Mobile Suit Gundam creator and executive director Yoshiyuki Tomino, animation directors Tetsuro Araki and Shunichi Yoshizawa, and producer Naohiro Ogata.
