Familiar talents are returning to Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comics. BOOM! Studios and Hasbro have announced that artist Hendry Prasetya and colorist Matt Herms, the original art team on BOOM!’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic, are back as special guest creators. The pair will produce the art in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #121 as a part of the “Darkest Hour” event. Written by Melissa Flores (The Dead Lucky) and lettered by Ed Dukeshire (The Woods), issue 121 will arrive in stores in June 2024.

“Billy devises a plan to delay Dark Specter, desperate to stop the growing infection from spreading, but the consequences of his risky idea are impossible to predict,” the description reads. “In order to shore up his resolve for what’s to come, Billy seeks strength among friends new and old, but will it be enough to defeat Dark Specter once and for all?”

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #121 has a main cover by Taurin Clarke (Miles Morales: Spider-Man), with variant covers by Björn Barends (Spawn), Goñi Montes (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), Mona Finden (Jim Henson’s Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance), and a limited BOOM! Studios direct reserve exclusive variant by Mateus Manhanini (Briar).

It will be in comic shops on June 26.
