The Boys are back soon, with season four set to debut on Prime Video on June 13, 2024. The streamer has released a few trailers and is continuing to build the excitement with new character posters.
One poster features Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who is making his series debut in an as-yet unidentified role. Urban appears confident with a smirk on his face and Morgan has a stern scowl. The poster, which was dropped on X (formerly Twitter) included the tweet, “Two peas in a diabolical pod.”
The other poster shows Hughie Campbell (Jack Quaid) and Annie January (Erin Moriarity) looking concerned as confetti falls around them. The accompanying tweet promises, “Here comes our second wind.”
When the series returns for season four, Billy Butcher has only months to live and is trying to reunite the Boys, while Homelander (Antony Starr) is encouraging the Seven to become even more powerful.
The latest trailer shows a dejected Billy returning to the Boys’ base where he acknowledges his mistakes and tries to rally the team. It transitions to an angry crowd outside of Vought HQ, while inside Homelander tells the Seven that they’ll have to do “terrible things for the greater good” and become “wrathful gods.” Then Butcher informs the team that he has found a virus that can kill supes.
The Boys season four also stars Chase Crawford, Karen Fukuhara, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capone, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Camerone Crovetti. Newcomers in season four include Valorie Mae Curry and Susan Heyward.
