It’s hard to stop the Xenomorphs. The Alien franchise monsters are currently terrorizing movie audiences in Alien: Romulus and soon they will invade the small screen in the TV series, Alien: Earth.

FX has released a short teaser video and the show’s official synopsis, “When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face to face with the planet’s greatest threat…”

Alien: Earth is a prequel to the original Alien film, set three decades before the Nostromo crew was almost completely destroyed by the Xenomorph. The events in the first movie took place in the year 2122, putting this one at the end of the 21st century.

The show was created by Noah Hawley, the screenwriter, director, and producer best known for creating the Fargo and Legion TV series. It also stars Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, David Rysdahl, Sandra Yi Sencindiver, Kit Young, Samuel Blenkin, Adarsh Gourav, and Moe Bar-El.

Alien: Earth will stream on Hulu sometime in 2025.
