LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy flips the galaxy upside down with a “what if?” story in which aspects of the Empire and Rebellion have flipped sides. A new clip from the four-part animated event series is now available, following the heroes as they are being chased by the Empire.

The clip shows Yesi Scala (Marsai Martin), Sig Greebling (Gaten Matarazzo), and Jedi Bob (Bobby Moynihan) fleeing from multiple enemies. As the trio attempt to evade being shot down, Jedi Bob uses the Force to improve their getaway vehicle, turning it into a Podracer and then an AT-ST. The clip ends at a figurative (and literal) cliffhanger as the heroes fly off of a precipice.

The LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy special begins when Sig Greebling finds the Cornerstone, which is a powerful artifact hidden in a Jedi temple. Soon Sig lands in a reimagined Star Wars galaxy where heroes and villains have swapped places, as has their technology. There are Rebel AT-ATs, Ewok bounty hunters, Imperial X-fighters and Rebel TIE-wings, and a Geonosian Jedi. It also brings a long-held fan theory to life with Darth Jar Jar Binks (voiced by live-action Jar Jar actor Ahmed Best).

Mark Hamill is voicing Luke Skywalker, the voice cast also includes Tony Revolori and Michael Cusack, and it is directed by Chris Buckley.

LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy arrives on Disney+ on September 13, 2024.
