Venom: The Last Dance
The final trailer for Venom: The Last Dance opens with a comical bit as Venom clings to the side of a plane and winks at a passenger who sees him. After Venom tells Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) that the creature after them was sent by his creator, a group of military scientists discuss other alien symbiotes and that they are running from something. From there, the trailer flashes back to some of their earlier moments, showing how far they’ve come as a team. A doctor warns Eddie that the world can’t survive if they stay together, teasing the conclusion of their story in this final installment of the trilogy. The serious tone is tempered by several shots of action, a Venom horse, and a funny bit when Venom gets a little too excited about gambling at a casino. The movie premieres in theaters on October 25, 2024.
Cross
Alex Cross, the hero of a series of novels by James Patterson, is making the jump to the small screen. The Cross trailer introduces Alex Cross (Aldis Hodge) as a police detective who is also a forensic psychologist that uses his understanding of the human mind to catch killers. He’s confident and great at his job, but he’s also still grieving the death of his wife and trying to raise two kids as a single father. Cross’ obsessive pursuit of murderers puts him on their radar too, making him and his family prey for some very bad people. The eight-episode first season of Cross will start streaming on Prime Video on November 14, 2024.
Thunderbolts*
The Thunderbolts* teaser starts with Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) visiting Red Guardian (David Harbour) and while he claims to be happy, she admits to feeling empty. We see Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) walking into an official looking meeting and John Walker (Wyatt Russell) reading an article about his failure as Captain America. Then Yelena takes out a goon squad on her way to what appears to be a secret bunker. Yelena isn’t the only one on this trail. She, John, Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), and Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) engage in a four-way knife and gun fight. In the midst of their battle, Bob (Lewis Pullman) tumbles into the fray – and that’s when they realize it might be a trap. The trailer goes on to show the group in multiple action shots, leading to a meeting with Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). The movie will be in theaters on May 2, 2025.
