Director-writer Quentin Tarantino’s second film, Pulp Fiction, is a violent, pop culture reference-filled flick that follows several different storylines. Big name actors like John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, Uma Thurman, and Christopher Walken came together to tell stories of hitmen, a fledgling boxer, and a pair robbing a diner. It earned $108 million at the box office, making more than any other independent film in history, up to that point. Pulp Fiction received seven Academy Award nominations, winning Best Original Screenplay for Tarantino and Roger Avary.
The movie was released on October 14, 1994, and in celebration of its 30th anniversary, Amazon is exclusively offering a new collector’s edition. The movie is offered in 4K Blu-ray, regular Blu-ray, and digital formats and comes in a slipcase featuring pop-up artwork from Vincent and Mia’s dance scene.
The 4K Blu-ray includes the featurettes “Not the Usual Mindless Boring Getting to Know You Chit Chat” and “Here are Some Facts on the Fiction” and an enhanced trivia track.
The regular Blu-ray includes the above special features, plus “Pulp Fiction: The Facts – Documentary,” deleted scenes, behind the scenes montages, production design featurette, Siskel and Ebert At the Movies: The Tarantino Generation, Independent Spirit Awards, Cannes Film Festival – Palme d’Or Acceptance speech, Charlie Rose Show, marketing gallery, theatrical trailers, TV spots, Pulp Fiction posters, Academy Award campaign and trade ads, still galleries, and soundtrack chapters.
The movie is open for preorder now for $59.99 and will available on December 3, 2024.
