BOOM! Studios and The Jim Henson Company are partnering on a new Labyrinth comic collection. The Labyrinth complete graphic novel collection based on the film by Jim Henson is seeking backers on Gamefound.
Labyrinth, directed by Henson with George Lucas as an executive producer, takes teenage Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) on a trip through a complicated supernatural maze to find her younger brother, Toby. Her quest is impeded by Jareth the Goblin King (David Bowie) who tries to convince her to let him have the boy.
The original novelization by A.C.H. Smith is being adapted as a fully illustrated graphic novel written by Kyla Vanderklugt with art by Giorgio Spalletta. It will feature covers by Miguel Mercado (Dune: House Atreides) and will be available in standard hardcover and slip-cased hardcover editions.
BOOM! is also offering the previously published Labyrinth comics in a pair of complete deluxe editions, titled Complete Labyrinth: Coronation and Complete Labyrinth: Beyond the Goblin City.
The crowdfunding campaign is seeking backers now through December 30, 2024.
