An unsuccessful screenwriter is given a chance to escape his disappointing life – but it comes at a significant cost in The Loose End. Hard Case Crime and Titan Comics are providing a preview of the four-issue caper, which begins in February 2025.

Written by Dave Dwonch (Jenny Zero) and illustrated by Travis Hymel (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), the story pays homage to 1990s crime dramas. Hard Case Crime compared it to movies like Desperado, Swingers, Heat, and Reservoir Dogs.

“With crushing debt, an aimless career, and a thirst for the high life punching down on him, failing screenwriter Steven Hollis is handed a ticket out of his dead-end lifestyle...an offer he can’t refuse from the mob! Now all he has to do is kill the biggest exec in Hollywood,” per the description.

The Loose End #1 arrives in stores on February 19, 2025 with covers by Andy Belanger, Kit Wallis, and Robert Hack.
