The Evil Dead franchise is taking a bite out of prestige home viewing. Shout Factory has created 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray Steelbook editions of Evil Dead (2013) and Evil Dead Rise (2023). They are available exclusively through Walmart.

In Evil Dead, Mia (Jane Levy) plans to detox from drugs with her friends (Jessica Lucas and Lou Taylor Pucci), brother (Shiloh Fernandez) and his girlfriend (Elizabeth Blackmore) at the family’s isolated cabin in the woods. But, the discovery of the Necronomicon brings forth evil that attaches itself to Mia and carnage follows.

Evil Dead Rise starts with the reunion between estranged sisters (Lily Sullivan and Alyssa Sutherland) when the demonic force possesses one of them. The family tries to survive the ordeal, only this time they are in an apartment building with other people instead of an out of the way cabin.

The Evil Dead Rise Steelbook also includes a digital copy and special features on expanding the series into new territory and an audio commentary with cast and crew.

Both Steelbooks are now open for preorders. Evil Dead is priced at $44.98 and Evil Dead Rise is $34.86.
