Transformers One is an animated film about the friendship between Optimus Prime and Megatron before they became enemies and leaders of the Autobots and Decepticons. Set on the Transformers’ home of Cybertron, it starts when Optimus Prime (then called Orion Pax) and Megatron (known as D-16) were “lowly worker bots who can’t even transform.” Their desire to become more than meets the eye takes them to the surface of their planet and an adventure that heralds the future to come.

The movie’s excitement and adventure have been translated into a Transformers One Sourcebook for the Transformers Roleplaying Game. Players can use the sourcebook to follow the events of the film or use it as a starting point for other journeys with the Transformers.

It includes the stats for Orion Pax/Optimus Prime, D-16/Megatron, Elita-1, B-127, Sentinel Prime and his minions, plus other bots and Transformers from the movie and Cybertronian Civil War. The sourcebook offers new influences and options for crew capacity, ways to play a Bot character, and how to get a Transformation Cog. There’s guidance for playing different party dynamics and locations from all over Cybertron.

The Transformers One Sourcebook is now open for preorders from Renegade Game Studios. It retails for $40 and will be released in September 2025.
