It’s all been building toward this, the final issue of Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor’s first year comes to a grand climax!

Previously on Doctor Who…The Doctor found herself wrongly imprisoned by the Devivians, and accused of stealing the sacred Gem of Niag from the planet. Initially suspecting Missy as the culprit behind the theft, the Doctor was surprised to come face to face with an even older frenemy – Corsair. A mix of River Song, Missy, and a swashbuckling pirate, Corsair claimed to have been tasked with stealing the gem to return it to its rightful owners.

However, it was revealed that the roguish Corsair was unwittingly working for the nefarious Hoarder, who has kept both the Time Lord’s and an even more precious treasure for himself. Now, Corsair and the Doctor must escape their cell, rescue the rest of the Fam, and reclaim the TARDIS before the Hoarder catches them. With two Time Lord’s on the case how hard can it be? Well…grab your copy and find out!

Eisner-nominated writer Jody Houser has delivered fast-paced and fun new adventures with the Thirteenth Doctor across her first year in comics. While the beautiful and intricate artwork of Rachael Stott and Enrica Angiolini lifted this concluding issue to new heights. I, for one, can’t wait to see what lies ahead for the Thirteenth Doctor and the Fam in Year Two.
