The Immortal She-Hulk begins with Jennifer Walters returning to life after being killed by the Cotati. Since this isn’t the first time that she died, Jen/She-Hulk is wrestling with some heavy questions about life and death, immortality, the impact of resurrection. As these heavy thoughts fill both versions of her mind, She-Hulk interacts with some other special individuals – good and bad – with similar experiences.

Al Ewing kicks off this new series with a story that bares obvious similarities to Immortal Hulk in that she is a tortured soul who feels both monstrous and heroic. It also serves very much as a recap on many significant moments that She-Hulk has had over the last few years. The art by Jon Davis-Hunt and colors by Marcio Menyz has layers of distinctive settings and landscapes that further establish her fractured emotional state.
