Known as the writer of Ms. TreeWild Dog, and the Nathan Heller novels, and as the writer/director of Mommy and Mommy’s Day, Max Allan Collins is also widely noted for his many novelizations – including In The Line of Fire and Air Force One. Once the scribe behind Dick Tracy, he teamed up with artist Richard Piers Rayner to deliver readers one of the truly great graphic novels.

It’s been a big hit movie with Tom Hanks – for which Collins actually wrote the adaptation – and now it’s had a chance to stand the test of time.

And it has indeed measured up.

Tight pacing, art that is simultanously beautiful and gritty, and memorable characters catapulted into swirling events. Road To Perdition was, is, and will remain a compelling read.
