When Betty and Veronica want to do something special for Archie, they get some advice from the spirits of Valentine’s Day. Sabrina the Teenage Witch tries to summon Cupid, but instead brings forth a naughty spirit hellbent on breaking up happy couples. Veronica tries to learn the identity of her secret admirer, and Jughead is a surprisingly perfect date.

Archie’s Valentine’s Spectacular #1 is filled with cute romance and funny romantic mishaps. Being that the cast is all teenagers, their Valentine’s Day is full of misunderstandings and jealousy. But since it’s in an Archie book, those situations are amusing rather than dramatic, producing an enjoyable light read.
