Roku left Ninjak for dead and continued her quest to find Marybeth, the child with a cybernetic implant that gives her access to all things electronic. While Ninjak was recovering under the care of his allies, Roku engaged the Minister of the Blades in a truly nasty, bloody fight. In the final issue of Ninjak vs. Roku the mercenary and assassin have one epic fight over past grievances and who will take Marybeth.

In this issue, writer A.J. Ampadu, artist Diego Giribaldi, and colorist Lautaro Ftuli deliver a great fight sequence, wrap up the story, and drive the characters forward for what’s to come in Resurgence of the Valiant Universe. It has third act revelations, reveals secrets, and sets up future stories.

The creators did a great job of acknowledging the history between Ninjak and Roku, while building on their contempt and creating new layers to their story. It was a great addition to the new Valiant universe.
