Writer James Tynion IV and artist Michael Avon Oeming took on the challenge of chronicling the stories behind the United States Air Force’s Project Blue Book, the early investigations into reported UFO sightings and encounters. This first volume (there is also a second one) collects the five-issue series that detailed the widely-publicized 1961 abduction of Betty and Barney Hill.

Tynion’s non-fiction approach to the story is clinical, methodical, and straightforward rather than sensationalistic. Oeming’s art, colored very effectively in duotone blues, is among the best in his career. The story and the art combine for a truly thought-provoking read.
