The Powerpuff Girls have a special mission today: find a gift for Professor Utonium that is cute and cool and from the heart. But before they can head out on their shopping trip, he asks them to try to avoid any violence or property damage this close to the holidays. That proves difficult when the girls encounter several of their regular foes who don’t quite understand the holiday spirit.

Writer Daniel Kibblesmith filled the Powerpuff Girls Winter Snowdown Showdown special with festiveness. The girls are conscientious of their actions (because Santa is watching, after all) and the villains are wickedly naughty. The book has a nice message for readers of all ages, wrapped up in the Powerpuff Girls’ high energy style. Artist Carlo Lauro and colorist Nicolò Laporini did a great job of bringing the story to life with equal parts action, heart, and humor.
