Bloodshot chose to join Dr. Silk’s team to create a world without death, going so far as to attack G.A.T.E.’s floating headquarters. Being from the future, Rai knows what Dr. Silk is capable of, and he may have to fight his ancestor, Bloodshot, to save the future.

This one-shot by Fred Van Lente is equal parts deconstructing what it means to be Rai or Bloodshot, and lots of fighting between two very dangerous beings. The art by Rodrigo Rocha and Leo Lujan, and colors by Brushu Studio reflect both aspects well by showing the disorienting side of their conditions and complicated emotions they feel, as well as the exciting action of a fight between two of Valiant’s toughest characters.
